Washing Instructions for FunkyMates AIO Nappies
- We recommend drypailing your FunkyMates Nappies. Drypailing is when you place any dirty or wet FunkyMates Nappies in a dry bucket/bin/bag that seals up & leave until wash day! Before putting your nappies in the bucket try & flush any Number 2’s down the loo. This replaces the need for soaking & its chemical free.
- For some people the smell of drypailing can put them off of using cloth nappies (but its not as bad as soaking!) put some bicarbonate soda in the bottom of your nappy bucket & that should absorb most of the nappy smell. To protect the nappies place a layer of baking paper over the bicarbonate soda, then the nappies on top.
- It is important not to leave the nappies in the bucket for longer than 2 days, any longer & they will need to be rinsed. It is a good idea to rinse your FunkyMates Nappies prior to washing if your child is teething or has particularly toxic urine to preserve the fabrics.
Fold the nappy together and secure using the Hook & Loop Fasteners in the top corners to eliminate the tabs from catching on other items being washed at the same time.
- Ensure the washing powder you use does not include any whiteners as this will coat the fabrics & may cause them to repel liquid. If this does happen you can strip wash your nappies by putting them on a hot wash with a squirt of dishwashing liquid.
- Do not use vinegar or fabric softener, however a disinfectant rinse can be added in the final cycle.
- After all of that hang out to dry.
- Able to be dried in the Clothes Dryer but on a very low heat & not every wash as this will degrade the elastic & shorten the life of the waterproof membrane (PUL) used in all FunkyMates AIO Nappies.
- Please note; Absorbency will increase with each wash until approximately the 4th wash.

- Can also be Drypailied, see above for instructions.

Pop into your normal wash cycle & hang out to dry - Able to be dried in the Clothes Dryer
Washing Instructions for FunkyMates Bibs
- Attach Hook & Loop Fastener together so it doesn’t catch on anything else
- Pop into your normal wash cycle & hang out to dry
- Able to be dried in the Clothes Dryer
Washing Instructions for FunkyMates Breast Pads without PUL
- Place into a lingerie bag – that way the pairs stick together
- Pop into your normal wash cycle & hang out to dry
- Able to be dried in the Clothes Dryer
Washing Instructions for FunkyMates Breast Pads with PUL (waterproof liner)
- Place into a lingerie bag – that way the pairs stick together
- Pop into your normal wash cycle & hang out to dry
- Able to be dried in the Clothes Dryer on a very low heat but not every wash
Washing Instructions for FunkyMates Nappy Liners/Boosters
- Pop into your normal wash cycle & hang out to dry
- Able to be dried in the Clothes Dryer
- Also able to be washed with FunkyMates Nappies

- After all of that hang out to dry.
